The Jammu and Kashmir government Saturday raised the level of enquiry into Friday's attack on a Pakistani prisoner inside Jammu's high-security Kot Bhalwal jail.
"The government has ordered that Principal Secretary (Home) Suresh Kumar shall hold the enquiry into the incident which took place at central jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu on May 3 in which a convicted prisoner Sanaullah, a resident of Daluwali Sialkot, Pakistan got injured, instead of divisional commissioner, Jammu," said an official statement here.
Official sources said the condition of Sanaullah who is on a life support system in the prestigious Post Gradute Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh continues to be critical.
He was shifted to Chandigarh Friday - hours after the attack - on the advice of doctors in Jammu.
