Telangana Government has sanctioned 505 acres to media baron Ramoji Rao's dream project 'Om City'. This land parcel will cover a portion of Abdullapur, Surmaiguda and Koheda villages in Hayatnagar mandal, Ranga Reddy district.
Already, District Administration sent the proposal to Revenue Department approval. After receiving clearance from Revenue Department, Telangana Government would fix the price of the land offered to Om City.
Om City will be established in 2,000 acres near Ramoji Film City. The spiritual city to come up will be home for theatres which screen spiritual movies, theme park, replicas of 108 famous temples of the country, function halls and hotels.
In April this year, Ramoji Rao met KCR and presented a book containing the project details of 'Om City'. The Media Baron even met Narendra Modi and explained to him what Om City is all about. The entire project is gonna cost anywhere around Rs 3,000 crore and it is estimated to attract 2 lakh visitors per day.
