Sankranthi season is always special for Tollywood films. Many big-ticket films plan for the release every year and this time Pawan Kalyan's 'Agnyathavasi' Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Jai Simha' are getting ready for the Sankranthi release. Apart from these two straight films, Tamil dubbed film 'Gang' starring Suriya is also in the race.
This season is going to be special for music director Anirudh Ravichander and Keerthy Suresh. It is known that Anirudh is making his Tollywood entry with Pawan film 'Agnyathavasi'. Even though Telugu audience are familiar with Anirudh's music with dubbed films, it is the first time he composed for a straight Telugu film. The audio of 'Agnyathavasi' is already topping the charts and everybody is waiting for his background score for the film. Interestingly, he is the music director for Suriya's 'Gang' as well and it is the first time he worked for Suriya.
On the other hand, Keerthy Suresh is the heroine in both these films. Keerthy is romancing Power Star Pawan Kalyan for the first time. Similarly, Keerthy is romancing Suriya for the first time. If these two films turn out to be hits at the box office, this Sankranthi will be a double dhamaka for Anirudh & Keerthy.
