It is known that Keerthy Suresh was roped to play one of the leads in Mani Ratnam's dream project, 'Ponniyan Selvan'. This a very prestigious film with a lot of Kollywood stars acting in it. But, Keerthy reportedly walked out of this project and accepted Rajnikanth's film.
Keerthy admitted that it is her dream to share screen space with Rajnikanth and she got that opportunity with director Siva's film. She thought of balancing both the films at the beginning but with the dates clashing, she had to choose between them and gave up Mani Ratnam's film as per sources.
Many heroines desire of working with Mani Ratnam and Keerthy dropped it for Rajnikanth's project. As we know, heroines have very less scope to perform in Rajni's films and hope Keerthy didn't take a wrong step at this crucial stage of her career.
