KGF 2: Time for Kannada audience to respect Telugu audience

Update: 2022-04-16 05:53 GMT
Just ahead of RRR's release, the Kannada group on Twitter ran a negative trend, asking to boycott RRR in Karnataka as the Kannada version of the film is not being given a wide release in the state. This created a sensation back then.

But now, Telugu audience have shown that they are much more generous and lucrative than the Kannada audience themselves.

Incidentally, KGF 2's opening collections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are bigger than the film's collections in its hometown, Karnataka. The film made Rs 19.7 crores on its opening day in the Telugu states while its tally is just around Rs 17 crores in its forte, Karnataka.

Not often do wee a dubbed film posting more collections in the neighboring state than its own state. This is the kind of adoration and mutual respect the Telugu audience have towards films. WIthout understanding this, a group of senseless Kannada crowd ran a negative trend on Twitter ahead of RRR's release. Wonder where these people are hiding now.

KGF 2's breakeven tally in the Telugu states is said to be around Rs 75 crores and the film needs to held well over the weekend if it is to breach this tally and emerge as a box office hit.
