Box-Office: 'KGF' is Ruling The US Box Office

Four movies tested their luck at the US box office this Friday. Two of them are Telugu films. But only one of these films which carried a decent pre-release buzz emerged as a winner at the US box office.

Shahrukh Khan's 'Zero' opened with a lukewarm response from the audience. The critics slammed the film for its lack of logic. 'Zero' movie raked only $1M by the end of its first weekend. The movie is gearing up to end up as a dud at the box office. Varun Tej starrer 'Antariksham 9000 KMPH' opened with a mixed response from the audience.

Released as the first ever space thriller in Tollywood, 'Antariksham' failed to live up to the expectations because of its overdramatic storyline. The movie made collections of $ 275 K by the first weekend and the distributors will face nearly 2.5 crores loss. Sharwanand's 'Padi Padi Leche Manasu' collected $ 200 K only in the first weekend. The trade declared that the distributors won't be able to recover the expenses.

On the other hand, 'KGF' emerged as a winner and is scored big. The movie opened on a positive note and collected $62K on Thursday, $59K on Friday, $102K on Saturday and $80K on Sunday. Overall, the first weekend collections of 'KGF' is $300K.
