Raj Tarun has become a minimum-guarantee hero of small-budget films. The budgets of his projects kept growing after scoring four hits out of five projects he had done so far. Now, He joined hands with 'Dongata' fame Vamsi Krishna for 'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha'. Promotional Material already gave an impression that this film is quite different from Raj Tarun's previous projects. Let's see if this new outing entertains or not...

Synopsis:

Kittu (Raj Tarun), an orphan & car mechanic, falls in love with Janaki (Anu Emmanuel) who comes to his garage for a vehicle repair. It's because of his love story, He ends up facing a huge financial problem. Since then, Kittu starts kidnapping dogs to demand ransom from their Owners for overcoming the crisis. Janaki hates Kittu upon knowing about his side business. At this juncture, Someone kidnaps Janaki. What is the reason behind Kittu's financial problem? Who is behind the kidnap of Janaki? Watch 'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha' in theaters near you for answers!

Performances:

Raj Tarun shoulders the film with his energy levels, good ease and comic timing. He tried his best to keep the proceedings entertaining.

Anu Emmanuel looks quite sexy in modern outfits. However, Love Track of the lead pair wasn't etched out well.

Prudhvi as Rechukka stood as an asset to the movie. Even Raghu Babu tickles the funny bone. Arbaaz Khan is just okay as antagonist. Praveen & Sudarshan are funny. Prabhakar, Nagababu and Raja Ravindra have done justice to their roles.

Pros:

Raj Tarun

Dialogues

Pruthvi's Comedy Track

Cons:

Screenplay

Second Half

Technicalities:

Music of Anup Rubens is just passable. Neither Songs nor Background Score create a good impression. Rajasekhar brought rich look to the film with his camera work. Sai Madhav Burra's hilarious punchlines deserve a special mention. Production Values were beyond Raj Tarun's market. Story Writer Srinivas Vissa seems to have taken inspiration from few movies. Director Vamsi Krishna once again chose a kidnap backdrop for his film. He, however, failed to come up with a convincing & racy screenplay.

Analysis:

'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha' is a complex story with multiple layers. What was supposed to be an entertaining Kidnap Drama ended up has a half-baked product due to the weak Screenplay. Don't even search for logic while watching this movie. The confusion comedy planned using the multiple batches (Hero, Mafia, Police, Rowdy) is just okay.

The film opens with Hero's Batch kidnapping Dogs for ransom. Then, The Protagonist starts narrating his Love Story and how he has become a Kidnapper. Until Interval, The proceedings were smooth enough with decent comedy. It's in the Second Half, Too many sub-plots spoil the fun.

Pruthvi as Rechukka is hilarious. Punchlines of Snigdha during the Love Track of Lead Pair stood as a highlight. Only her part made this Track work to some extent. Dialogues written by Sai Madhav Burra generated good humour.

'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha' would have been a promising Crime-Comedy had if it had a good screenplay. Despite short Run Time, Audience get a feeling of watching a lengthy film. Except an Item Number, There is no other song in the Second Half. Even this Dance Number fails to impress. And lastly, Watch this Raj Tarun-starrer for just few laughs!

Bottom Line: Bow Boy entertains partly!
