Usually, No actor or technician would like to disclose the details of their pay package. Noted writer Kona Venkat surprised everyone by revealing how much he charges per film in his recent interview.
Remuneration: "I receive Rs 1 crore per film".
Bollywood: "I entered Bollywood with 'Ready'. This film brought me close to Salman Khan. My next film is also with Salman and its 'No Entry Mein Entry'. After I narrated a 10 minutes storyline, He signed the film and will be producing it on ABCL Corporation. Accidentally, I met Sridevi and Boney Kapoor in USA. I narrated a story and they liked it very much. It will go to floors soon".
Bonding with Acharya Atreya: "One fine day, I received a phone call and the man claimed himself to be Acharya Atreya. Initially, I thought one of my friends has been mimicking the voice and replied 'Edisav Le, Evaro Cheppu'. That's how we actually spoke for the first time! In those days, Kona used to operate TV sets in Railway Stations and he was the first person in India to do it. The reason behind Atreya making a phone call to him is that a 25-year-old lady in Kona's office has been pressurizing the veteran to marry him. Finally, Kona succeeded in convincing the girl to call off her plans. After this episode, Atreya and Kona became very close. They even used to hangout at tank bund and have beer on daily basis. Atreya used to tell Kona - 'Naa Jeevitha Charamamkam Lo Pradhama Vykthivi Nuvve Kona'. Sadly, Atreya passed away with completing his autobiography".
Ambition: "I wish to do parallel cinema like Geethanjali. With 'Alludu Seenu', We are able to recover Rs 40 crore investment by impressing the audience. But, Critics have gives us thumbs down. The respect for commercial cinema is coming down. I wish to do new genre films".
