Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan's Acharya is arriving in theatres worldwide on the 29th of this month and the makers have started promoting the film aggressively. The principle cast and crew has been interacting with the media for the past few days and here is one such interesting incident involving the director of the film, Koratala Siva and his comment on Kajal Aggarwal who was initially roped in to play the female lead role in the film.

"Yes, I did rope in Kajal for a role in the film. At first, I penned a funny role for Kajal and we bought her onboard. But as we shot the portion and saw the same on the editing table, my opinion was that the role wasn't blending into the narrative. I then felt it wouldn't be right to cast an actress like Kajal for a miniature role. I spoke with Chiranjeevi garu about the same and we came to a conclusion that editing out Kajal's character in the film was the right thing to do. Her character was damaging the flow of the film and we had to make the tough call." Siva said.

Koratala went on to add that he himself personally called Kajal and let her know about his decision to edit out her portion for the betterment of the narrative. "Kajal had a bright smile on her face while I spoke with her about editing out the portion. She understood wat was happening and took it in a sportive manner. It was a tough decision to make but we had to make it." Siva said.

The star director went on to add that Kajal will indeed be seen in the Laahe Laahe song that was unveiled a while ago. He says this is the only time people will get to see Kajal in Acharya.
