Why Heroes behave like that before Heroines?: Kota

Kota Srinivasa Rao is undoubtedly one of the finest actors in the Country. In his recent interview, He spoke about the beginning days of his career and changing trends in the Industry.

'Pandagochindi' is the first Telugu play with comedy touch aired on Doordarshan. Kota did the role of Munsubh in it.

The Veteran Actor says there used to be few guidelines for Actors in those days but that's not the case now. He particularly objects the floor dances our Young Heroes perform before Heroines in the songs. 'Does Men behave in that fashion before women in the real life? What is the need for 50 junior dancers in a song? I myself have no answer if someone questions what's wrong with it! We become fools if we preach to Younger Generation,' he says.

Kota believes he is in this stage Today because of the countless stage plays given by him. 'Pranam Khareedu' marked his film debut. There is six years gap between his maiden flick and turning point 'Prathighatana'. T.Krishna roped Kota to play a negative role based on village politics in his 'Vandemataram' in 1985.  

After establishing himself as an actor with 300 films, Kota Srinivasa Rao felicitated his nine gurus at Ravindra Bharathi and presented silver idol of Lord Balaji to each of them. D Ramanaidu who was the chief guest of the ceremony. 'People say Kota doesn't spend much. As per my estimate, Rs 1 lakh has been spent for this felicitation event. Kota himself beared the total expenses. I haven't seen anyone in Film Industry felicitate their mentors in this manner'.
