Everybody knows Krish takes a cue from situations & people around him.. then writes stories. This kind of directors are rare in our industry. He scored a big hit in the form of Gautami Putra Satakarni and getting huge appreciation from the audience and celebrities alike.In a recent interview, Krish revealed the actual backdrop behind his stories.
"The discussions between the then YSR government and Naxals inspired me to write the story of Gamyam. I have discussed the cheap things that happen in the Kotappa Konda fair in the movie. I never thought of the success of the film. I wanted to tell that story strongly. So I made Gamyam. Based on the Mumbai attacks issue, I have penned the story for Vedam. I took characters around me for Vedam movie.
Surabhi dramas are inspiration for Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. YS Rajasekhar Reddy garu allotted land for Surabhi when he was CM. It may be a small news.. but I have written a story taking inspiration from that news. Bifurcation of the state bacame the backdrop for Kanche. 'People should be together as human beings even though a border separates them'... I made Kanche on this concept. I inserted Second World War to this concept in this film.
When it comes to Gautami Putra Satakarni, a coins exhibition in Koti Lingala gave me the inspiration. I got to know about the story of Satavahanas from them, and made up my mind to make a film on Satakarni."
