'Liger' Villain Explains His Journey With Puri Jagannadh!

Vijay Deverakonda's 'Liger' is all set to hit the screens on 25th August. The promotions are already underway and fans are eager to watch this film. The trailer raised the buzz immensely and the songs are quite appealing too. Vijay is getting a humongous response from the crowds and his craze is amazing to everyone. The makers have planned a tour across the country till the film releases. Vijay is making his Hindi debut with 'Liger' and Ananya Pandey is making her Telugu debut. But there is another guy who is all set to make a grand impression with 'Liger'.

He is none other Vish and he will be challenging the 'Arjun Reddy' star in this slick pan-Indian project. As it is aware, Vish is also the CEO of 'Puri Connects' company. Explaining about his journey with Puri Jagannadh, the actor said, "Even before I met Puri, I was addicted to his films. I am his big fan. He called me, after watching my martial arts videos. I met him in 2015. He said that he would make a film in the background of martial arts and narrated me the idea of Liger. I have done romantic films like Mehbooba and iSmart Shankar. Finally, my dream came true with Liger. Puri garu, Vijay Deverakonda, Ramya Krishna, Mike Tyson is a dream combination. I feel very lucky."

He added, "I did some films before meeting Puri. Josh is my debut film, where I played a small and negative role. Later I worked in production department and direction department and tried to understood the industry. I did the production of Mehbooba. Puri trusted me and made me the CEO.

Speaking about his character in 'Liger', he told, "I played the role of a very arrogant fighter in Liger. What is the enmity between Vijay and my characters can be understood after watching the film. A legend fighter character was required in Liger. Legend means we remember Mike Tyson. There was no better option than him. He liked the story and felt happy to be part of the project."

He claimed that 'Liger' is not a sports drama and termed it is a pakka mass entertainer with an MMA backdrop. He is confident that people from all age groups will be loving it.

As we know, 'Liger' is coming out in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta together are bankrolling the film on a grand scale. Junaid Siddiqui is the editor for 'Liger' which is written and directed by Puri Jagannadh.
