Is This hero, Not Scared Of Shiva Sentiment?

Update: 2019-05-05 10:23 GMT
Well, some sentiments seem a bit ridiculous but they do exist because they have become a trend. The sentiment we are talking about involves Lord Shiva.

In Telugu Cinema, the sentiment is that if you involve Lord Shiva in the film, most often you could end up making a flop.

Don't get us wrong, very fantasy, mythological and devotional  films have Lord Shiva as one scene or two scenes character. But the story doesn't entirely revolve around him.

When you have a story that revolves around him or have him in the lead character, then the expectations increase and film more than often fails.

This has become a sentiment that not many stars play Lord Shiva character in their films. NTR turned up as Lord Shiva in Dakshayagnam and the movie failed.

Chiranjeevi's Anji, Manjunatha are watched more in TV these days but they did not become hits when released. Manjunatha had a better run in Kannada.

Nagarjuna did do Dhamarukham, which released at the wrong time and with huge expectations. The movie is again watched on TV regularly than it could pull people to theaters.

But Nag is convinced by Dhanush in his next film that the actor need not care about such sentiments and work on it.

Nagarjuna is most probably playing Lord Shiva with Srikanth, Aditi Rao and Sarath Kumar in other lead roles. Dhanush is also acting and directing the film.

He completed most part of the shoot so quickly that even Nag got impressed by his planning and determination, it seems. Soon, Dhanush will announce the teaser and trailer release dates of the film, it seems.
