Few filmmakers come with an ideology and try to make films that support such ideology without fail.

We have seen Dukkipati Madhusudhan Rao garu, who sticked to films that will entertain family crowds and aimed at them only.

Then, we had a revolutionary change in Youth attitude that resulted in many taking up the ideology that supports social change to the forefront.

Even films changed accordingly and Madala Rangarao is one such pioneer in putting forward a different ideology on screen and as he is a supporter of Communists, he used their colour Red as his way of expressing social frustration on screen.

He managed to bring a wave of change in Telugu Cinema and as a producer and an actor, he got a name as "Red Star".

Such a person who stood for his ideologies through out his life, passed away this morning in Hyderabad at Star Hospitals.

The body has been shifted to his son, Madala Ravi's house and many close friends and industry people are paying their last respects to him.

He won two Nandi Awards, made a huge influence on many youngsters with films like Chairman Chelamayya, Mahaprasthanam, Erra Suryudu, Erra Pavuralu, Erra Mallelu, Yuvatharam Kadilindi, Maro Kurukshetram, Swarajyam and many more.
