The Madras High Court on Friday dismissed the case filed by elderly couple Kathiresan and Meenakshi claiming Dhanush is their biological son.

Kathiresan and Meenakshi moved the court in November last year saying Dhanush is their son who ran away from hostel when he was studying Class 11. They demanded a monthly maintenance of Rs 65,000 from the Actor by producing his 10th Class certificate which consists of details about his identification marks. High Court Bench directed Madurai Medical College to check if the identification marks in the certificate matches with that of mole and scar on Actor's body. Doctors informed the court that moles could be removed using Laser Technology but not the scars. Following which, Dhanush refused DNA Test stating that it's a matter of privacy.

Whereas, Dhanush's Lawyer kept saying its a clear case of extortion of money.

On Friday, Madras High Court struck down the case citing lack of sufficient evidence. This judgement came as a huge relief for the family of Dhanush.
