Will On-Screen CMs Succeed?

Update: 2018-01-27 09:45 GMT
Portraying a CM character on screen is not an easy task for any hero.  They have to take many precautions.. and that's the reason why most of the heroes don't show much interest to play the CM role.  In such a situation, Mahesh Babu is appearing as a CM in his upcoming film 'Bharath Ane Nenu' and it has become a hot topic now.

It is known that Rana Daggubati played CM role in his debut film 'Leader' directed by Sekhar Kammula.  It was an average film at the box office.  If we keenly observe the trend in Tollywood, heroes rarely played CM roles.  Megastar Chiranjeevi has done 150 films but he never played CM role.  He appeared as a minister in 'Mutha Mestri'.  Nandamuri Balakrishna has done more than 100 films but he never played CM role in his films till now.  Venkatesh, Nagarjuna never played CM character in their films.

Rajasekhar tried it in 'Yevadaithe Naakenti' and he has won appreciation from the audience.  Another hero Jagapathi Babu impressed with his CM role in 'Adhineta'.  Jr. NTR never played CM role but he played a role which influences politics in 'Naga' movie.  Pawan Kalyan never tried a political backdrop film.  Considering these things, we can say that Mahesh is trying a different genre.  Shankar directorial 'Oke Okkadu' is the best film in which hero played the CM role.  It was a dubbed film. So, Mahesh is going to create a new trend with 'Bharath Ane Nenu'.

Superstar Krishna has done a film title 'Mukhyamantri'..  he acted in several political backdrop films like 'Praja Pratinidhi' .. 'Naa Pilupe Prabhanjanam'.  All these films were successful at the box office.  We need films like 'Bharath Ane Nenu' because it will surely send a message to the youth that they should take up politics.
