A Novelist named M Sarath Chandra filed a case against the Makers of 'Srimanthudu' citing copyright breach.
Sarath Chandra alleged 'Srimanthudu' is based on his novel 'Sachentha Prema'. He accused the Makers of denying him title credits and remuneration despite using his novel. He sought an injunction order from the City Civil Court as the Blockbuster is now being remade in Hindi.
The Court issued summons asking Mahesh Babu, Director Koratala Siva and Producers to be present for the next hearing. Though Lawyers argued saying Mahesh Babu wasn't involved in script writing and sought exemption for him from appearing in the court, Judge didn't entertain them at all and made it clear that all the parties must appear before him at any cost.
Mahesh Babu is expected to attend the next hearing of his case. He might have never expected something like this to happen to him even in the wildest dreams.
