Superstar Mahesh babu's Maharshi is minting huge amounts of collections in almost all the areas it has released in. It looks like the film's first week shares will break the record set up by Aravinda Sametha. Already, the film has got the highest opening day collections in Mahesh's career.
In Nizam area, it is all set to cross the share of Rs. 20 crore in its first week, which is a very good milestone to achieve. But the worrying thing for the Maharshi team is that the movie is underperforming in the Ceded area. The rights of the film were sold for Rs. 12 crores for the Ceded distributor.
It has to collect more than Rs. 12 crores to gain profits. But in its first week, Maharshi has managed to collect only about Rs. 5.80 crores. At this pace, the film might end up collecting only about two or three more crores in that area. It is quite sad to see it underperform in only one area and is all set to become a blockbuster in the rest of the centres.
