The makers of Ravi Teja's Khiladi are apparently spending as much as Rs 65 crores on the project. This makes it the costliest project in Ravi Teja's career, by a fair distance. Well, given the current restrained situation pertaining to Covid outbreak, investing Rs 65 crores on a mid-range film is more or less a big risk.
Given the high production costs, Khiladi will have to collect in upwards of Rs 75 crores just to enter the safe zone, let alone the profits. For that to happen, the film will have to garner a unanimously positive response and enjoy a solo run at the box office.
Literally everything will have to go Khiladi's way if the film is to recover the massive investments. So, the makers of Khiladi do appear to be taking a big risk in terms of production costs.
That said, the director, Ramesh Varma seemed extremely confident about the content and he said the film will be the biggest hit in Ravi Teja's career.
Khiladi was shot in Dubai, Italy, and Hyderabad. The prolongated shooting schedules played a role in the shooting up of production costs.
