The Corona virus pandemic has left us all in a lockdown. What do people do in a lockdown other than eating and sleeping? Yes most of us watch TV. The demand for content on TV, OTTs has surged double the need and all the platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hotstar are desperately adding content to help their audience. Even after these many efforts, demand for content is not ending and that's where the OTTs are running back of small time producers.

Generally small films do not get the attention even on OTTs but this lockdown has broken the myth. Moreover, film lovers give a huge liking to the content-driven films whichever language it is! Of late Malayalam film 'Trance' directed by Anwar Rasheed is working wonders on Amazon Prime.

The film made on a serious subject of false treacherous acts of Christian Missionaries who give colouring that they treat diseases with just prayers! It is an achievement for the makers to do a film like that in Kerala where Christians are majority! The film didn't get good attention at the Box Office but has become a huge hit on Amazon Prime.

The other small films that are streaming on Amazon Prime by many these days are Vishwak Sen's 'HIT'. Seeing the big change of audience mindset, Small time producers in Tollywood are trying to sell their finished films to Amazon Prime and are desperate to make few bucks in this hour of crisis.
