Release Date: 25th December, 2015.
Arn film in the combination of Mohan Babu and Allari Naresh is completely rnunexpected. Sreenivas Reddy who is good at handling comedy subjects rnsucceeded in bringing them together for 'Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu'. rnDoes the comedy entertainer hit the right chord with the audience?
Synopsis:
Manchurn Bhaktavatsalam Naidu (Mohan Babu) have two wives but none of his rnlife-partners were aware of this truth. Fearing that a mistake committedrn by him would unite his first wife's son & second wife's daughter, rnHe hires Balaraju (Allari Naresh) only to divert his daughter. As time rnprogresses, Balaraju turns into thorn in the flesh of Mr.Naidu by makingrn his daughter fall in love with him. That's how the tom & jerry war rnkickstarts between Father-in-Law & Son-in-Law. Did the story have a rnhappy ending?
Performances:
Afterrn a long gap, Mohan Babu has done a full-length role but his choice of rnsubject is below-par to say the least. The characterization wasn't good rnenough and 'MMAK' hardly gives any scope to give his best.
How rncan anyone expect a Hero to choose such a subject as his 50th Project? rnAllari Naresh has only paid the huge price for the blunder he committed.
Ramyarn Krishna & Meena were okay. What's the necessity of casting Varun rnSandesh in such a role? Casting a lesser known actor in that role rnwouldn't have made any difference. Ali was wasted. Nothing to speak rnabout rest of the cast.
Pros:
Last 30 Minutes
Cons:
Story
Screenplay
Direction
Technicalities:
Nonern of the songs composed by Three Music Director were good enough. Camera rnWork by Balamurugan is alright. Editing isn't crisp. Films of Sreenivas rnReddy have good dose of comedy. He, however, failed to leave his mark inrn 'Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu'. Production Values are decent.
Analysis:
Arn lot of people would say 'Allari Modugu' is one of the most enjoyable rnmovies in the 90s. 'Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu' which is an extension of rnthe 90s hit won't give the same feeling at all as it is so outdated. rnEven though the plot was inspired from a Marathi flick, What we get to rnsee here is time & tested confusion drama which tests the patience rnof the audience.
The love track of lead pair & the teasing rnscenes reminds us of movies made 20 years ago. All the combo scenes of rnMohan Babu & Allari Naresh were so boring and they hardly tickle thern funny bone. Interval Bang ends in a so so manner. Only relief for the rnviewers is the last 30 minutes in the Second Half and humor in this partrn managed to keep them remain in the theaters till the very end.
Starrn Cast of 'Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu' was huge but none of them were ablern to save the movie. Director Sreenivas Reddy has to blame himself for rndelivering this dud as he neither have a promising story or good rnscreenplay to make it work. What would Mohan Babu gain from such rnpoorly-crafted films? Its time for him to introspect & come up with rnprojects that live up to his reputation.
Bottom Line: A Poor extension of 'Allari Mogudu'!
