It is known that Balakrishna impressed everyone with 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' movie a historical biopic of the ferocious Telugu king. He is working on NTR biopic now. On the other hand, Chiranjeevi is working on 'Sye Raa', a biopic of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Savitri biopic 'Mahanati' is also getting ready for the release soon.
Legendary Telugu politician, former CM, Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy biopic also going to join this list now. There were some reports in the media regarding this biopic a few months ago. 'Anando Brahma' fame Mahi V. Raghav is directing this biopic. Malayalam Superstar Mammootty was approached by the makers recently for playing YSR role in the film. Speaking of the crazy project, Mahi revealed that "Mammootty sir agreed to play YSR role. I'm going to meet him soon to discuss the characterisation."
Mahi also added that the movie will be made on a high budget and the movie will be titled 'Yatra'. It is known that YSR's historic 'Pada Yatra' played a crucial role in bringing Congress to power in AP in 2004. Mahi trashed the rumours that Suriya, Nayanthara are part of the cast. There were rumours that Nayan is playing YSR wife Vijayamma role, and Suriya is playing Jagan role. Though it is YSR biopic, it only covers the period of Pada Yatra and how YSR brought Congress to the Power as per the reports.
