Acclaimed Actress Parvathy dared to call the dialogues in Mammootty-starrer 'Kasaba', misogynist (means hatred against women) while delivering her speech at the International Film Festival of Kerala. She claimed to be disappointed to see a great actor like Mammootty mouth dialogues disrespectful to women and send a wrong message to the people. Following which, The 'Bangalore Days' Star was trolled on Social Media and subsequently a police complaint was lodged by her.
Responding over the controversy, Mammootty made it clear he is open for meaningful debates but not controversies. At the same time, He maintained neither did he assign anybody to react on his behalf nor defend him. 'Nobody should be denied Freedom of speech and right to opinion,' he opined.
Based on the complaint, 23-Year-Old Printo from Wadakkancherry in Thrissur was taken into custody by the Police. A case under Sections 507 and 509 of IPC and Section 67 and 67(A) of the IT Act was booked against him.
