Renowned director Mani Ratnam is a director par excellence. His movies are huge filmmaking lessons to aspiring directors and makers. Many actors dream of working with Mani Ratnam. Right from 'Nayakudu' to his last outing 'Nawab', his films are made with a lot of taste and artistic sense.

Despite all this, he is a calm man who doesn't give appearances outside or on social media. But with Corona lockdown in full force, he came online and answered a lot of questions from his fans. The ace director is currently working on the script of 'Ponniyan Selvan' and claims that he got a little writer's block as he is not able to move forward in the story. He stated that this film will be made in two parts and this big-budget flick will be released in Hindi too.

When asked if he would make a film or a web series for OTT platforms, Mani Ratnam said that he wouldn't generate online content as he got used to making films on the big screen and said that he may not be successful on digital platforms.
