Nandan is the son of Mani Ratnam and Suhasini. He came across such a situation recently when he visited Venice. Thieves have robbed him and he didn't have even a penny to reach the Venice airport. His mother Suhasini requested help from netizens through her Twitter account she tweeted that "sos anyone near venice airport ? can u help our son who was robbed in Belunno .he needs to reach airport pls help". Within minutes of her post, the people who were staying at Vence responded.
When Suhasini got to know that Nandan received the required help and he is safe, she tweeted that "Help is on the way for our son. So those from Twitter who offered help. Thank you. He's fine now".. "Our son checked into a hotel. He is safe tonight".
