Mani Ratnam To Kick-Start His Shooting In Sri Lanka!

Legendary director Mani Ratnam is back to work again as he is looking to restart his dream project 'Ponniyan Selvam'. The silver screen magician who gave some classics through the decades is still staying relevant by making contemporary films.

The senior director is now going to turn a novel into an epic saga. The first schedule of this huge film was done in Thailand. Their plans were disrupted due to Coronavirus and after five months, the film's unit is getting ready to bounce back on to the sets. Mani Ratnam is planning to film a few scenes in the Sri Lankan forests. This schedule is expected to go on for thirty days and the team will fly to Sri Lanka on September 20th as per reports.

Produced by Mani Ratnam's own banner 'Madras Talkies' and Lyca Productions, this film features Vikram, Karthi, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sarat Kumar, and many other noted actors.
