Mani Ratnam proved himself time and again as one of the best filmmakers in our Indian Film Industry. He managed to deliver classics consistently till he seemed to have lost his touch with Ravanan/Villain. He then managed to make a comeback with Ok Bangaram/ Ok Kanmani but then his Kaatru Veliyidai/ Cheliyaa bombed at the box office this year. But the director is not finished yet and he wants to prove that again with a big Multi-starrer.
In the film, he has cast actors from Tamil Cinema and Malayalam Cinema but none from Telugu Cinema. Telugu is the biggest market in South Cinema now-a-days and him just thinking to release a dubbed version in Telugu but not have a Telugu actor in the biggest South Multi-starrer as he claims, is a huge disappointment to his fans in Telugu states.
Anyways, in the movie Jyothika, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahad Fassil, Aravind Swami, Aishwarya Rajesh and Simbhu are playing crucial roles. The movie is said to be an anthology and we have to wait and see, how much people will like it. Right now, the only Telugu connection is that Hero Nani, could be lending his voice to one character, like he did for Ok Bangaram. Actually, he was supposed to be a part of this movie but in the last minute he opted out or Mani Ratnam wanted to go with another choice. We don't have a clarity on that matter just yet.
