Many Hurdles For Akhil's Upcoming Spy Thriller!

Update: 2022-05-16 06:14 GMT
Young Akkineni hero Akhil's career has been a rollercoaster ride. He witnessed an immense craze even before the release of his first film. Many thought that he is one of the brightest stars in Tollywood who would rule the rooster in the future. But the reality is far from what was expected as his debut film 'Akhil' was an outright disaster. Despite all the big names, the film tanked at the box office.

His next two films 'Hello' and 'Mr. Majnu' met with the same result. At such a low point, he bagged his first hit in the form of 'Most Eligible Bachelor' which is an urban romantic comedy. With boost given from his first hit, Akhil got ready for a high-voltage action thriller titled 'Agent' which is being directed by stylish filmmaker Surender Reddy. The latest news is that the project is facing a lot of hurdles.

Going into details, the makers planned to make the film on a budget of around 50 crores. Since Akhil doesn't have a big market right now, the production house planned to include Surender Reddy's banner too. The director who agreed to it initially has now taken his decision back according to reports. News is that he is only asking for remuneration and nothing more. Also, the budget went over the limit and the makers have already spent over 70 crores as per reports. Delay due to the pandemic and reshoots are the cause of it and a few differences cropped between the production team and director too as per rumors. We need to wait and see what happens.

Newbie Sakshi Vaidya is playing the leading lady opposite Akhil in 'Agent' while it is written by Vakkantham Vamsi. Produced by Rambrahmam Sunkara under the AK Entertainments banner along with Surender 2 Cinema banner, crazy music composer Hip Hop Tamizha is scoring the music. Ragul Herian Dharuman cranks the camera. National Award winner Naveen Nooli is the editor while Avinash Kolla is the art director. Surender Reddy is known for his movies like 'Kick', 'Race Gurram', 'Sye Raa' and 'Dhruva'. Akhil scored his first success as a hero with the romantic comedy 'Most Eligible Bachelor'.
