Much like every week, the movie buffs are eager to know what films are arriving this weekend. With 'Liger' ending up as a huge disappointment, a lot of people showed no interest in watching the film on the big screens. This made movies like 'Sita Ramam' and 'Bimbisara' to extend their good run at the box office. Nikhil's 'Karthikeya 2' is still going strong with good bookings during the last weekend.
But people who watched all these films are looking for new options now. With Ganesh Chaturthi arriving this week, the festive mood is surely going to help the weekend releases. The most notable project of the lot is definitely Vaisshnav Tej's romantic family entertainer 'Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga'. This movie is given a U/A certificate and Ketika Sharma will be seen as the love interest of the 'Uppena' hero. Directed by Gireesaya, this flick is bankrolled by BVSN Prasad. The trailer and songs got a good response but the buzz is quite low on the movie. Positive talk on the first day morning shows is very important to have a good run at the box office.
Next in the list is 'First Day First Show'. Despite having a lot of fresh faces, this small film created a lot of buzz with its entertaining promotional strategies. 'Jathiratnalu' fame Anudeep has given the story for this film and he is spearheading the promotions too. They are trying to use the stardom of Pawan Kalyan and comedy in order to attract the audience towards the theatres. 'Bujji' which was completed long back is arriving on the first week of September. Apart from these, small flicks like 'Diehard Fans', 'Aakasa Veedullo' and 'Naa Venta Padutunna Chinnavadevaramma' are in the race.
While the above-mentioned films are straight Telugu films, Chiyaan Vikram's 'Cobra' is hitting the screens on 31st August. The trailer impressed the audience and there are good expectations on this flick. The extended version of 'Spiderman - No Way Home' is arriving in theatres too and a Bollywood movie named 'Common Yaar' is also hitting the screens. Let us wait and see if September starts on a good note just like August or not.
