Maruthi's Future Left Hanging Due To One Failure!

Update: 2022-07-25 07:47 GMT
There is an unspoken rule in the film industry which is, 'You are as good as your last film'. The verdict of your last film decides whether you are a happening actor or a nobody. It determines if you are the director in demand or the one going from office to office in search of a chance. We have seen a lot of cases where filmmakers who gave a lot of hits ran out of opportunities due to the disastrous result of their last outing.

Director Maruthi is in a similar situation right. He is one of the most trusted directors in Tollywood till a few months back. His movies always delivered good results and ended up giving decent profits to the producers and buyers. Knowing his brand of entertainment, even big star heroes were eager to work with him. As we know, Prabhas will be teaming up with him soon and Megastar himself asked Maruthi at a public event to come up with a good story so that they could make a film together.

But the result of 'Pakka Commercial' is having an effect on his future projects now. The Gopichand starrer arrived with decent expectations and a positive buzz but everyone was shocked to see the lack of novelty as well as Maruthi brand hilarious episodes in the movie. Reports suggest that Megastar is having second thoughts about working with Maruthi now. As we know, Charan is working on a pan-Indian film with Shankar and will work with Gautham Thinnauri under the production of 'UV Creations' banner.

The same banner was supposed to bankroll Megastar and Maruthi's project. But insiders reveal that Chiru is not interested in both son and father working in the same production house. Unless Maruthi comes up with a tremendous storyline, Megastar may not change his mind. Also, the disastrous result of 'Acharya' has left the legendary hero confused. Apparently, he doesn't want to sign any other project until he releases his present three movies and sees their result. With Megastar's project slowly getting out of reach and Prabhas not being free for the next two years, Maruthi's future is now at crossroads and he doesn't know where to go now.
