Trailer Talk: Meet 'Mimi' & Know Her Emotional Yet Hilarious Journey!

Tall beauty Kriti Sanon is proving to be more than just a pretty face in Bollywood. Apart from taking up glamorous roles besides heroes, she is working on concept-based films that satisfy the actress inside her. She is all set to entertain the audience with her upcoming film 'Mimi' which will be releasing at the same time on Netflix and Jio Cinemas on 30th July.

The official trailer came out and it reveals the entire story of the film. Kriti Sanon plays the role of a surrogate mother who agrees to carry the child of a foreign couple for 20 lakhs of money. Versatile actor Pankaj Tripathi will be seen as the guy who convinces her to take up this offer. Before a few months of delivery, the foreign couple decide to not have the child. Kriti Sanon decided to have the child and it leads to a rollercoaster ride which is filled with a lot of emotions and entertainment.

Kriti looked absolutely beautiful and did a perfect job. She did well in the comedy scenes but it is her emotional act that pulls your heartstrings. Pankaj Tripathi is the one who steals the show with her acute comedy timing. The rest of the supporting actors did a good job too. The premise itself provides a lot of scope for comedy and the trailer promises that the movie is going to leave the audience in splits.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan under his Maddock Films banner, 'Mimi' is written by Laxman Utekar & Rohan Shankar while it is directed by Laxman Utekar. Rohan Shankar penned the dialogues and AR Rahman is providing the original songs and background score for a Hindi film after a long time. This entertaining film is based on the original story by Samruddhi Porey who made 'Mala Aai Vhhaychy'.

It is good to see happening actresses like Kriti Sanon take up such challenging roles. Interestingly, Pankaj Tripathi and Kriti Sanon were seen as father and daughter in 'Bareilly Ki Barfi' which was a huge hit. In 'Mimi', they will be acting as the father and mother of the newborn foreign child. Let us see how the audience are going to enjoy 'Mimi' which will be on 30th July.
