After addressing a rally in Chhattisgarh from a Red Fort like dais, BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is set to address a meeting of ex-servicemen in Haryana's Rewari town with a huge photograph of Indian parliament in the background.
Rewari is located about 90 km from New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party leaders said they expected nearly 200,000 people at the venue.
This is the first public rally of the Gujarat chief minister after he was named Friday the prime ministerial candidate for the next general election.
The Rewari belt of southern Haryana is home to thousands of serving and retired soldiers.
Former army chief Gen V.K. Singh is also expected to address the rally.
BJP leader Veerpal Singh accused the Congress-led government in Haryana of creating hurdles vis-a-vis the rally.
"When our preparations were in full swing, the power supply to the venue was disrupted for several hours," he said.
