Superstar Rajinikanth was admitted to hospital in Hyderabad on Friday over "severe fluctuations" in his blood pressure. He was in Hyderabad for his film "Annathe" but the shoot was stalled earlier this week after some of the crew tested positive for Covid-19.

Mohan Babu immediately phoned Rajini's wife Latha, daughter Aishwarya and sister to find out about his well-being. They said that Rajini's health was stable and that there was no need to worry about him.
