Drishyam To Be Remade In Chinese!

Mohan Lal starrer Malayalam film 'Drishyam' became a blockbuster in 2013.  It was the first Malayalam flick to collect Rs.50 crores at the box office.  The movie has been remade into several Indian languages like Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi till now.  The movie has been remade into the Sinhalese language with the title 'Dharmayudhaya'.   

Coming to the present, 'Drishyam' is going to create history soon because a Chinese production house has bagged remake rights.  Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph has revealed this information through his Facebook page.  This is the first Indian film to be officially remade into Chinese and it going to be a record.

Surprisingly, the movie was made with a meager budget of Rs.5 crores and went on to collect Rs.75 crores for the Malayalam version alone.  The movie was produced by Antony Perumbavoor under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
