Multiplexes in Andhra Pradesh state have decided to take legal action against YSRCP Government, if required say reports.

The problem is that the government has announced that they will solve the issue of low ticket prices but they have held back from releasing the Government Order.

Committee formed to give suggestions about the revised price rates have already submitted their suggestions and even drafted the document that once released government will be turned into official G.O.

But the government is waiting to release it. According to the terms in the Government Order or G.O, the price cap will be raised to Rs. 150 and maximum the government night give permission to increase the rates till Rs. 180 in metros for Multiplexes.

Even there also Government wants to allott 20% of seats at Rs. 150, say reports. Multiplexes are unhappy with this decision and they want revised rates with maximum cap raised to at least Rs. 200.

In Telangana state, the cap is at Rs. 295. Multiplexes want similar rates at least in Metros and towns in AP also. As the pandemic hurt them badly, they want this increase.

YSRCP Government wants to pertain to their image of welfare friendly government and hence they may not budge to Multiplexes association demand. So, the association wants to go for a legal action against government if necessary arise. But they want to wait till the G.O release.
