Yash Raj Films Clarifies On Shelving Sushant's Film

Update: 2020-07-20 11:10 GMT
For the past few weeks, we are hearing a lot about Yash Raj Films (YRF) chairman, Aditya Chopra in connection with Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide.

The Mumbai police on Saturday recorded his statement, and he was questioned for more than four hours at Versova police station.

It is heard that Aditya Chopra stopped Sushanth from working in a Shekhar Kapur Kapoor film. However, the filmmaker stated that Paani was shelved off due to the creative differences with Shekhar Kapur and it had nothing to do with the late actor.

As per the sources, Shekhar Kapur had promised to make the film in a particular budget, but after months of pre-production, he failed to submit the script to Mr Chopra and increased the budget multiple times.

With this, the filmmaker felt that the budget will not work out and wanted Shahrukh to do it. But the director got upset and walked out of the project.

The police have recorded the statements of more than 35 people before him, including his father, friends and co-actors.
