Tamil Director A.R. Murugadoss established himself in the movie industry with his blockbuster movie Ghajini. Not only for the director but Surya also gained his much-needed break in Tollywood with that movie. The movie became so popular, and even Bollywood perfectionist actor Aamir Khan did the remake of the film in Hindi. Speaking about the movie, Murugadoss unveiled some interesting things. He stated that he wanted to do this film initially with Mahesh Babu.

Mahesh Babu's upcoming film under the direction of Murugadoss is scheduled to get released on September 27th. Recently the movie unit organized the audio launch function of the movie. Speaking of that event, Murugadoss claimed that he wanted to do the remakes of his hit Tamil movies Ghajini and Tupaki with Mahesh. As Ghajini was dubbed in Telugu, he wanted to do the remake of Vijay's Thupakki with Mahesh. However, things didn't go well, and they joined hands for Spyder movie. "Generally in bilingual films, only closer shots will be shooted two times. But in Spyder, we did every scene twice. That why it took more time and budget. But the quality of the movie came out really well." Stated Murugadoss. He admired Mahesh for his dedication and stated that Mahesh as an actor supported him very well even during the night shootings and outdoor shooting for a long time.

"I haven't planned to debut in Tamil. It is all God's blessings. I have so much of fan following in Telugu. As Spyder is a high budget film, releasing the movie in two different languages increases the market. I am glad to get introduced to Kollywood audience with Spyder." Said Mahesh Babu.
