I Am Depressed & Heartbroken: Murugadoss

Update: 2018-10-27 17:21 GMT
Varun, an assistant director, accused AR Murugadoss of stealing his story 'Sengol' for making 'Sarkar' with Tamil star Vijay. He also moved the Madras High Court seeking justice. Court asked the makers of 'Sarkar' to respond over the claims of the petitioner by October 30th.

South Indian Film Writers Association headed by Director Bhagyaraj declaring that stories of 'Sengol' and 'Sarkar' are similar complicated the situation.

Finally, AR Murugadoss broke his silence on the controversy. He opined Bhagyaraj made a big mistake by passing a judgement without even listening to his version. 'The Film Body reached a conclusion by going through the synopsis of 'Sarkar', instead of the complete script. Both scripts deal with how the votes of public are misused..that's the only similarity. In 'Sarkar', We had even covered many incidents, including Jayalalithaa death, which happened recently to make it contemporary. 'Sengol' was penned in the year 2007. I am heartbroken & slipped into depression with what has happened. I wrote the entire script of 'Sarkar' in my office with the help of my assistants. Haven't met Varun till date,' he clarified.
