It's been close to two years since the legendary singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, who is called Ganagandharva, left us. Though he is not with us, the thousands of songs he sang in his glorious career will make the singer stay with us. His ear soothing voice still echoes in our songs.

The veteran singer had a rare record of working with various generations. He has worked with NTR Generation, Krishna Generation, and the next generation and current generation heroes as well. The specialty of Balasubrahmanyam is that he can match the voice of the hero, for whom he is singing.

June 4th marks the birthday of the legendary singer. The Music Fraternity had decided to give a heartfelt tribute to the singer on his birthday. A concert will be held in Hyderabad's Rabindra Bharati and around 100 musicians will take part in the concert which is named "Baluki Prematho".

Cine Musicians' Union is behind the concert which will pay tribute to the legendary singer. The Union said that S.P.B made valuable contributions to the music industry and it is their turn to pay tribute for the service he made.

"Balu Garu is the lifeblood of all of us. The man who gave life to all of us. We're celebrating his birthday on June 4th with a 12 hour music session from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. We all feel honored to remember that great man with a song concert,'' RP Patnaik, Honorary President of the Cine Musicians' Union, said.

"We are going to provide vocals to the Balu garu for almost 12 hours with the participation of over a hundred singers. "I sincerely hope that you all will participate and make the" Baluki Prematho " program a success, Singer Kousalya said.
