Nag Ashwin's Environmental Concern!

Update: 2018-05-19 09:38 GMT
Director Nag Ashwin is the latest sensation in Tollywood at present.  The way he gave celluloid presentation of Savitri life without a sugarcoat is getting a huge appreciation from the common audience as well as critics.  Let us keep aside Mahanati topic for a while and talk about another interesting aspect of Nag Ashwin.

Nag Ashwin is almost similar to NTR character in 'Janata Garage' who loves the nature and cares for the environment. While NTR doesn't allow others to cut trees in the film, our Nag Aswhin is trying his bit to control the pollution by using the solar-powered car.   Nag Ashwin is saying that if a petrol or diesel car runs on the road for a year it will contribute 1 million tonne polluted gases to the existing pollution.  He said that the electric cars also cause pollution in an indirect way.  He said that a car requires 10 units for a single charge.  Generally, electricity is generated by burning coal and it causes environmental pollution.

He said that 6-kilowatt solar power panels have been set up on the rooftop of his apartment with government subsidy.  This mini power plant gives enough power to charge his car.   He said that the remaining power is utilised for his home and the hospital.

Nag Aswhin said that he has traveled near 9,000 km after setting up solar panels and wind power.  He used the same car during his travels for 'Mahanati'.   He said he has spent  Rs. 2 lakhs on the solar panel and saved nearly Rs. 90,000 by using solar power in comparison with petrol.   Nag Ashwin is saying that technology is available so people also should start using the clean energy.
