Naga Chaitanya's Love Story To Be Postponed Again?

The makers of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's Love Story had recently announced that the film will be out in theaters on the 10th of September. But as it appears, the film's release might get postponed to a later date. There are various factors constituting to the postponement of the Shekhar Kammula directorial. Given the comparatively low number of footfalls at cinema halls across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the makers are not willing to take any risks just yet. They are willing to postpone the film's release till favourable conditions emerge. At this rate, Love Story's theatrical release might get postponed to October or later.

Love Story predominantly caters to family audiences and given the Covid transmission scare, families are not stepping out to watch new releases in theaters. They are willing to watch films directly on OTT. Moreover, the government of Andhra Pradesh hasn't permitted flexible ticket pricing in cinema halls across the state. Also, there is night curfew regulation in place, meaning that screening night shows is not possible. Adding to the woes, Nani's Tuck Jagadish is premiering on Amazon Prime Video on the 10th of September. It needs to be said that the majority of the audiences will pick OTT releases over theatrical outings, given the Covid scare.

With so many factors working against new theatrical release prospect, the makers of Love Story are said to have opted to postpone the release till the condition favour new theatrical releases. They are yet to take the final call in this regard, but in all likelihood, the film's release will get postponed and the new release date will be announced in the due course.

Meanwhile, Gopichand's Seetimarr, which was announced for theatrical release on the 3rd of September might be pick Love Story's date - 10th September. There is no affirmative update in this regard. As things stand, the chances of Love Story releasing on 10th September are extremely bleak. The makers are not willing to take any unnecessary risks and they are intending to push the release film's release further. Even Naga Chaitanya, and Shekhar Kammula are siding with the producers, given the uncertainty surrounding theatrical revenues.
