Where do Chaitu go from here?

Update: 2017-09-11 17:44 GMT
Naga Chaitanya, is one of the interesting actors in the Telugu Cinema. Interesting because of the highs and lows, he goes through every year with every film. He surprises with a big hit and then immediately delivers a disaster that doesn't even interests his fans. In 2015, DohChay, has become the most talked about film before release but ended up collecting less than 5 crores at the Box Office and remained a disaster.

He then shifted his focus to the soft romance genre that helped him deliver hits like Manam, Ye Maaya Chesave, 100% Love. He made an impactful comeback with Premam. His Saahasam Swasaga Saagipo, even though did not become a major success, it did generate openings considering the Demonetisation effect. Many praised his performance in the movie. Post that, his father took it on himself as a responsibility to give a good hit and produced, Rarandoyi Veduka Chuddam. The movie became a Summer hit, this year.

So, everyone though Chaitu will now, learn from his past mistakes but he decided to finish off a film with his friends and young crew under 90 days and released it to the lowest possible buzz. Even though by the time of release, he did try to increase the buzz, the movie failed miserably at the box office. From the first day, itself it has been evident that people had no interest in the film and the strong negative word of mouth, damaged it further.

The movie just collected 4 crores over the weekend and that is too low, for an actor, who is on hits and who has a fan base like Chaitu. So, many of his fans are now asking him to stop such experiments and concentrate on story and script mostly. They are also asking him to select the directors carefully. If you observe his trails to become a mass hero have always been failing and may be Savyasachi could be his last attempt to try and attain a mass image. Chandoo Mondeti, who reversed his career graph with Premam is making the movie and fans are looking at it with some hope!
