NagaBabu, Mega Brother lashed out on media and several people who have been targeting them over months and years. He said, "We have patience. We are powerful enough to soak everything and move on. But our silence doesn't mean that we are inefficient. If we start reacting, these people will not be able to bear the brunt."
He continued, "I am asking media people here to show some restraint. Speak about political agenda and issues that Pawan Kalyan has taken up. For narrowly political gains don't encourage people who make cheap comments. They don't have any credibility and liability. We do. We take it all in and ask our fans to take it lightly too. Pawan Kalyan said let's not react before. He doesn't have to mention names and say. Few people need that, but he knows what to react on and what not."
He then talked about his mother's reaction to the comments made by Sri Reddy. He said, "Pawan Kalyan doesn't like addressing such issues and he would ask me also not to react. He might scold me why you did this, but this reaction is needed. I asked my mother before coming here, what she felt about such comments. She laughed and said, address their problems and don't abuse that lady back. Leave that word and talk about the issue."
He later said, "For every issue, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Jr. NTR and Venkatesh, need not have to come out and react. For a personal level issue like Casting Couch, a producer's council and Movie Artists Association are there to rectify and solve it.
We cannot go to each and every producer and say, take only Telugu girls. It is the requirement of story and demand of business that decides, whom should we take and everyone in India, has a right to work anywhere.
We cannot draw boundaries in a free country. First, understand that. If a person asks for sexual pleasure in return of an opportunity report it to MAA or producer's council and Chamber. We can solve it.
If you can accept it, then it's your personal choice. Because of your decisions don't blame entire film Industry as a prostitution institution. Here, many actresses have come respectfully without facing casting couch and lead their lives even more respectful.
We cannot help for few traffickers and exploiters coming into the Industry. We try to eliminate them only when we know about them. We can't go into personal space of each and every person. Before blaming us, understand these practical issues."
NagaBabu concluded the press meet by saying, "We are establishing a CASH committee as per Government directive. It will take time, but we are on it. We are talking about work environment and wages, issues for company artists. We will soon come up with solutions. Media needs to stop highlighting us. If people say, movies are only teaching bad, then what about the good, we teach? Why nobody is talking about it? Please Stop targeting Film Industry and Mega Family. I would like to ask media, to talk about our shows like Jabardasth if they want TRPs, but do not comment on Film Industry on this issue only, this is my humble request."
