Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's recent visit to New Delhi for seeking funds to the state has paid off. Take a look at the sops to AP
i) Power Ministry informed to AP Government regarding the implementation of the pilot project of 24*7 power supply in the region.
ii) Centre grants loan to AP for completion of 4th phase works of NTTPS (Narla Tatarao Thermal Power Station) and 2nd phase works of DSTPP power plant. While NTTPS and DSTPP receives Rs 5,286 crore and Rs 5,140 crore respectively, State Rural Power Corporation and Power Finance Corporation will get Rs 4,300 crore and Rs 3,542 crore respectively.
Total Loan Sanctioned: Rs 18,268 crore. Power generated through two Power Plants: 1,600 MW.
iii) Union Power Minister Piyush Goel given permission to use the Railway Wagons belonging to NTPC for transporting coal from Odisha and Telangana to AP.
