Is Nani Still A Minimum Guarantee Hero?

Update: 2019-05-10 04:12 GMT
Natural Star Nani attained the tag of 'Minimum Guarantee Hero' but his recent releases haven't been justifying it. Could you believe that Buyers incurred losses even though some of his films attained hit talk?

'Bhale Bhale Magadivoy', 'Nenu Local' and 'MCA' are the blockbusters scored by Nani in the past 4 years. While the Maruthi directorial took him to the next level, Pairing with Keerthy Suresh & Sai Pallavi worked wonders for 'Nenu Local' & 'MCA'. Of course, Nani carried these films on his shoulders throughout by performing exceptionally well.

'Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gadha' just managed to attain break-even due to over-budget. 'Majnu' ended as a flop inspite of positive word-of-mouth. 'Gentleman' managed to be a decent success. 'Krishnarjuna Yuddham' is a dud. Multi-starrer 'DevaDas' costed the buyers dearly. 'Jersey' received critical acclaim but revenues weren't good enough. Clash with 'Kanchana 3', which was dominating in B, C Centres, proved costly.

Trade Circles are of the feeling that hit talk for films starring Nani doesn't guarantee commercial success. Buyers should be prepared to bear 20 to 30 percent losses in most cases. Was it happening due to over-budget or wrong estimating of the market?
