Senior Actor Naresh decided to contest in the upcoming MAA President Elections. He filed the nomination already. While Rajasekhar will be contesting as Vice President, Jeevitha is going to be General Secretary. Kota Shankar Rao will contest for the post of Treasurer.
Addressing the media persons, Naresh told: 'We are going for polls to avoid clashes in the Movie Artistes Association. Our Family has been donating Rs 1 lakh for MAA. So, Many People asked Me to become MAA President. Shivaji Raja himself told every key member should serve as President for a term. That is why I have decided to contest elections this time. I appeal members to help Me win with highest majority in the elections happening on March 10th'.
Rajasekhar alleged MAA hasn't be working properly. He claimed to have agreed to contest because of the honesty of Naresh.
Jeevitha, on the other hand, complained that Women had never occupied key posts in MAA. She added, 'Initially, I thought of contesting as Independent. Couldn't say no when Naresh asked Me to contest as General Secretary. Members should vote for only those who work sincerely for their welfare'.
