National Awards are biased: AR Murugadoss

Update: 2017-04-08 09:40 GMT
Soon after the announcement of National Awards every year, We keep hearing the talk about the Jury Members showing bias. This time, One of South India's Ace Filmmakers took potshots at the National Awards Jury.

Few hours ago, AR Murugadoss expressed his anguish by saying: 'Can clearly witness the influence & partiality of people in jury, it's biased'.

Murugadoss, however, refrained from disclosing why he attacked the 11-member Jury led by Director Priyadarshan. Some people assume it could be because his female-centric movie 'Akira' was completely ignored.

The outburst of Murugadoss only raised the doubt if he has targeted Priyadarshan for presenting Best Actor award for Akshay Kumar (Rustom) and Special Jury Award for Mohanlal (Janatha Garage, Manyam Puli). It's an open secret that Priyadarshan maintains good relations with both Akshay & Priyadarshan with whom he worked for several films. At the same time, One shouldn't ignore the fact that they are brilliant actors and truly deserves National honour. So, It's better if people doesn't jump into any conclusions until Murugadoss speaks out the actual truth.
