Big Films Big Troubles!

Update: 2020-04-25 13:25 GMT
The lockdown period is creating a lot of worry and chaos in the film industry. The theatres were shut down and they are expected to be the last ones to get opened as they are major public gathering spots. A lot of films which were made ready for release are delayed. Experts say that a lot of star hero and big budget films will be having a tough time finding release dates after lockdown.

As we know, the government is expected to put a lot of restrictions on the sale of tickets and occupancy in theatres. These rules may prove to be costly for big films as it may take a lot of time for these films even with a positive talk to reach the breakeven mark. Also, the buyers and distributors will be not willing to spend heavy rates quoted by the producers of such big films. Income from the theatres will be key to their business and nobody knows how interested people will be to walk into theatres.

This means, high budget flicks like 'RRR', 'Pushpa' and 'KGF 2' need to be postponed for a very long time till things get back to normal and theatres regain their glory as per sources.
