Ever since the teaser came out, Prabhas' mythological drama 'Adipurush' has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Many said that the quality of visuals are abysmal as the movie looked like an animation. Everything looked artificial according to them and a lot of criticism is being showered on the director, producers and hero Prabhas too. Om Raut and the 'Baahubali' hero came out in public and tried to explain it to the public and even arranged 3D screenings in various theatres to show the movie's quality.
There were warnings from right-wing politicians too. As we know, the makers have announced that the movie will be hitting the screens on 12th January 2023. With a couple of big projects releasing on the Sankranti season, there were a few rumours that one film would walk away from the race. Megastar's 'Waltair Veerayya' and Balakrishna's 'Veera Simha Reddy' have announced their arrival during the Pongal season recently and 'Adipurush' is definitely the biggest of the lot. Not many films dare to release their film during the same time these three projects hit the screens.
But Akhil announcing that 'Agent' will be arriving during the Pongal season made everyone think that 'Adipurush' is the film that is going to be postponed. As it is known, Prabhas' film needs a lot of CG work and this is the reason why the rumours spread like a wildfire. But the producers have now made it clear that the movie will be coming out on Jan 12th and there is no change in it. Also, Prabhas will not find a better time to release a pan-Indian film which is the main reason why the makers are sticking to the original date.
We need to wait and see how the other movies plan their release dates. 'Adipurush' is directed by Om Raut and Kriti Sanon is the female lead in it. Saif Ali Khan is the villain while Sunny Singh will be seen playing the role of Lakshmana. T-Series is bankrolling this grand movie.
