When quizzed about the same, Varun Tej told: "I used to be very fat when I was studying Intermediate and Degree. May be, That's the reason I hadn't received any proposals. And I was very shy to speak or mingle with girls. Mostly, I would hang out with the boys gang with whom he studied".
